Submitted by Kristen Frost - As Brad’s listing coordinator and marketing manager, I was asked to write the first blog entry. With so many things going on about which to write, I could not decide. I could mention my three sisters, my foster brother, Disneyland--the Happiest Place on Earth, eight years of marriage, growing up in Burbank (and still living here), but none was really appealing. I even thought of writing about my mother’s approaching commencement from Fuller Theological Seminary, or my father: the funniest man in America, or so he tells me. Finally, I decided to write about my five-month-old, sweet little Shih Tzu terror, Tinkerbell.
I have wanted a Shih Tzu since I was a little girl, and it is so easy to say, “Let’s get a puppy!” But actually finding one and bringing her home is another story. My husband and I searched online and finally found a breeder two hours away we liked. We fell in love with the smallest of the litter: Tinkerbell TigerLily Frost. What better name for the 1.5 pound puppy of a Disney-lover?
After three months with our new charge, my husband and I have had to do some adjusting, but we couldn’t be happier (although the bites on our toes could stop.) She just learned how to navigate the stairs of our townhouse, and there have been many times we turn around and she’s nowhere to be found. We finally locate her, standing watch from her new spot at the top of the stairs. She loves to chew on my clothing, especially long dresses and skirts, but has been kind enough to leave my shoes alone! We recently learned she is terrified of the Burbank Town Center, yet she is not afraid to meet other animals, and loves to play.
This little puppy has brought great joy into our lives.
